PRODUCT DESIGN GUIDELINES

Gloss Design was commissioned by Strauss Water (Tel Aviv) to analyze their current and past product lines and identify the recurring traits that define the brand’s recognizable identity. The goal was to establish a set of Product Design Guidelines capable of generating a clear family feeling across the range — where every product, current and future, is immediately identifiable as part of the same brand ecosystem.

More than a stylistic handbook, this analysis codifies a Brand Identity through Product Design, ensuring that form, ergonomics, UX and interface behave as a unified language. The resulting document is intended to be shared with executive teams, external suppliers, product designers, graphic departments and marketing partners, providing a consistent framework that supports development and protects recognizability.

The work combines Human Centered Design, ergonomics, brand expression and functional logic, addressing:

  • Family feeling and brand recognition through product form & details

  • Human Centered Design criteria (use scenarios, ergonomics, UI logic)

  • User Experience coherence between physical product and interface

  • Perceived quality, materials, finishes and touch-point consistency

  • Visual codes: color palette, proportions, interface hierarchy

  • Unified identity across countertop units, under-sink systems and smart taps

 

The result is a coherent design language that accelerates product development, aligns stakeholders and safeguards the brand’s perception through a recognizable, future-proof identity.
